We paint our traditional homelands with deep reverence for the landscape, because this country holds our story. It’s where our mother and father call home, where we were raised, and we are now raising our own children. This land is rugged and raw- shaped by time, seared by heat, and rich with colour. The ochres have been pushed to the surface, revealing gold, silver and minerals that form one of the world’s moat unique mineral belts. We are guided by the country, the peach-toned skies, the soft blues, pinks and purples of our well-known Kalkadoon sunsets. These deep connections inspire us to paint using traditional shaped and symbols, brought to life through a modern, unrestricted palette. Each piece reflects a contemporary interpretation of our heritage. All artworks are created by Glenda, Cheryl,Dale, Jaunita – four sisters, each with their own individual styles
